As a former pitcher for the Detroit Tigers, John knows the importance of playing for the name on the front of the shirt instead of the back, so he’s always looking out for what’s best for LabTech partners.
John Timko is the Director of Marketing for LabTech Software where he is responsible for global marketing activities, including strategy, branding and product marketing.
With over 15 years of experience in the field, John has designed and executed numerous direct marketing online and direct lead generation campaigns, handled media relationships, and negotiated and managed industry trade sponsorships and participation. John previously served as Director of Marketing for iDatix and for Electronic Learning Products, and as a Direct Marketing Manager for Numara Software.
At LabTech Software, John is a member of the Executive team and is responsible for developing the marketing strategy, managing the marketing budget and providing direction for all lead generation activities to meet company goals.
John’s expertise has been instrumental in the dramatic and fast growth of LabTech Software. He works closely with the LabTech Product Management team to plan, develop and execute product releases and tactical marketing efforts, including creative design, website overhaul, print and online ads, and product collateral. John also works closely with all of LabTech Software’s third-party integration partners to plan and promote other IT solutions and services to LabTech partners.
Prior to his business career, John played professional baseball for the Detroit Tigers. He attended the University of South Florida, College of Business and Marketing.
